Golden week holiday - Day 1 (Hakata)

At last after hours of hardwork, I have choosen the "best" photos I had from my golden week holiday photography. It had been a memorable ones, because I have to haul myself a total of approximately 7 kgs of backpack when visiting these place. Because I am still new to my Nikon D70, lots of my photos are overexposed. So after hours of beginner Photoshop "adjustment", I present you the photo album of my 1st stop - Hakata.

First impression, Hakata is really a shopping paradise compare relatively to Yamaguchi city.
Lots of commercial building around surrounded with many hotels and other facilities, but surprisingly temples, shrines and other palces of cultural and historic interest are well carefully preserved. So for one day trip, I have to plan carefully so that I could maximize the total time usage. The most convenient transport is by the subway.

OHORI Park - This large park is comprised most ly of a central lake, which originally formed part of the outer moat of Fukuoka Castle. It is said on the ruin of Fukuoka Castle is available.

A really peaceful park which is popular with joggers and walkers.

And also a nice place for dating.
But rowing the boat in the morning is not my idea of romantic, though. :-P
Damn, am I tired - Part 1
But that is not me laying down on the bench.
But still a nice weather to sleep in.
Shinny sun and cold breeze sure make me really sleepy.
Nope this is not a stick-up. Its "God, I am lost"
Hahahah...Just kidding.

And so this is the ruin Fukuoka castle?? Damn. I'm being conned!!!
Those stone wall is really tall (Interesting...)
Since I am here, so might as well I visit "Ohori Park Japanese Garden"
On the way......

Really a nice garden. I have a short break here, before moving on to Tenjin Area.
Most of the photos taken here were overexposed.
Damn. This is the best photoshop adjustment I have for this time being.
Photo from the subways:

Next stop: Tenjin Chikagai
- An underground mall which runs past the subway station entrance.

Not in the mood for shopping, but I guess gals really like these places.
So I just went to Starbuck for coffee break while waiting for time for hotel checkin.

After checkin, I went to one fo the electric shops around Hakata.
Those cameras showcase was so impressive, I thought the is really a photographer paradise.
Too bad, I am not allow to take photos inside.
It will definitely make my photographer friends envy like mad. Hehehe!!!!!

Piece of art, is it??
Buildings on the way to Canal City Hakata, Yatai...

Inside Canal City Hakata:
Quite similar to One-Utama or Megamall in Malaysia.

Damn, am I tired - Part 2
Hahahah.... Shopping is definitely not for men.
We should wonder how those woman has the energy to walk 12 hours shopping.
Really impressive, right?!

Reach to Yatai area too early (6pm)
Hakata Ramen is really delicious.
I did not stay around to take the night scene of this Yatai.
Instead, I took a 3km walk around Hakata area.
The last photo of the day.
My backpain was so unbearable after the first.
I really wonder how I am continue for another two days. Sigh....
Nevertheless, Hakata still have lots of places to be explore.
If time allows, I will definitely come back to Kyushu area again.
